Competition for the provision of expert/expert services for the development of a simulation game

“Youth Council Model” Project

In order to develop knowledge about local self-government and decision-making among young people
Compass NGO announces a competition for an expert to prepare a simulation game for young people.
It is planned that the expert/organization preparing the game, in cooperation with the software team, will develop the content and design of the simulation game, prepare online and printed versions of the game, and conduct 2 tests of the game.

Game content:
The game should develop the following knowledge and skills of the participants:
● Provisions of local self-government,
● Functions of the Council of Elders,
● Civic participation in the local decision-making process,
● Communication skills and critical thinking.

Game objectives:
● Acquisition of systematic knowledge about holding Council meetings,
● Formation of people’s positive attitude towards the importance of public hearings,
● Awareness of the role of the Council of Elders,
● Active and engaging attitude towards community management.

Game genre and target group
The game should be a simple simulation game, include cards describing the role of each participant and brief information about the role, duties, powers and scope of responsibility, the game should be designed for young people with different educational backgrounds. It should be integrated into an online platform where participants will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with their role, an electronic version of the game rules, educational materials related to the game will be posted, and there will be an opportunity to organize online voting.
The game is designed for young people aged 16-35. However, it should not exclude the interests of other age groups.
The number of game participants: 27-30 people.
Game duration: at least 110 minutes.

Applications should be submitted by October 1, 2024 by sending your CV to compassgyumri@gmail.com.
Applications sent after the deadline will not be considered.
Applications are open to organizations and teams with experience in creating simulation games and working with local governments. Participants must also submit their price proposal along with their application.
