Trainer-expert competition

Within the framework of the “Debate, Discussion, Change (DDC)” project, “Compass” Research, Educational and Consulting Center NGO announces a competition for the provision of paid services of trainer-experts. Trainer-experts must develop relevant materials, plan and implement the courses in Yerevan and Gyumri, as well as provide expert advice during February-April 2018.

The goal of the “Debate, Discussion, Change (DDC)” project is to encourage young people in Yerevan, Vanadzor, Gyumri and Gavar, provide them with a space and opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills for effective research, identify and deepen their understanding of hot social, economic and civic issues, and freely express their ideas through participation in structured and public debates.

12 courses will be implemented in Gyumri and Yerevan on the following topics:

Topic 1. Problems of the higher education system (17.02.2018 Gyumri) “Technical task

Topic 2. Problems of the distribution of the RA state budget (24.02.2018 Gyumri) “ Technical task

Topic 3. The anti-corruption system of the RA government (03.03.2018 Gyumri) “ Technical task

Topic 5. The problem of homelessness in Gyumri (17.03.2018 Gyumri) “ Technical task

Topic 6. Problems of organizing garbage collection (24.03.2018 Gyumri) “ Technical task

Topic 7. Domestic violence in the Republic of Armenia and its prevention (18.02.2018 Yerevan) – Technical assignment

Topic 8. Modern tax policy of the Republic of Armenia. The impact of EAEU membership on it (25.02.2018 Yerevan) Technical task

Topic 9. Gender issues in the Republic of Armenia (04.03.2018 Yerevan) Technical task

Topic 10. Church and state relations in the Republic of Armenia (11.0.2018 Yerevan) Technical task

Topic 12. Freedom of information and access (25.02.2018 Yerevan) Technical task

Interested persons who meet the requirements and are interested may send their application to ddc.gyumri@gmail.com. (with a copy of the letter sent to jmf@jinishian.am). The title of the course topic(s) should be indicated in the subject line of the letter.

The following documents should be attached to the application:

  1. Curriculum Vitae (CV), highlighting the experience of conducting courses on the given topic.
  2. Motivational letter, indicating why you want to participate in this competitionThe project is implemented in collaboration with the Jinishyan Memorial Foundation, the Lori Development Center (LDC) NGO, and the Compass Research, Education and Consulting Center.

The project is co-financed by the European Union and implemented within the framework of the small grant project of the EU-funded project “Support to the Capacity Building of Civil Society Organizations in the Republic of Armenia”.
