International Conference on “Civic Participation, Data Visualization and Local Governance”

The international conference on “Civic Participation, Data Visualization and Local Self-Government” was held in Gyumri on October 26-28, organized by the Compass Research, Education and Consulting Center NGO. It was funded by the Visegrad International Fund and the Government of the Netherlands.

Representatives of civil society from four countries: the Czech Republic (Center for Economic and Market Analysis), Slovakia (Institute for Economic and Social Reforms), Hungary (Budapest Institute) and Armenia (Compass Center), shared their experience in budget visualization, talked about difficulties and challenges. The conference included presentations and exchange of experiences between 20 participants from the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, Shirak Regional Administration, Gyumri Municipality and interested Armenian CSOs.
