Within the framework of the “EcoPark” program, the “Compass” Scientific Research Educational and Consulting Center” NGO project team visited “Arpi” National Park” in the north of Armenia on July 24 to get acquainted with the possibilities and potential of ecotourism development in the area. The project team was joined by active citizen Arsen Vardanyan, who is well acquainted with the area and knows the secrets of the region, and Hayk Bagratyants, a volunteer at “Compass” NGO from the “Depi Hayq” Foundation, a student at University College London, who will help assess the opportunities of the area from a tourist’s perspective within the framework of the program.

As a result of the warm welcome by the park staff, the working visit turned into a cognitive-extreme tour. Then, a constructive discussion took place with the Park Director Hovsep Simonyan and the staff regarding the vision of the development of the area.

It should be noted that “Compass” NGO has undertaken the strategic planning and management of the program and tourism development directions of “Arpi” National Park”.
